Description:This project evaluated the role of the enteric microbiome in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), thereby establishing important causal relationships between microbiota structure or function and development of ulcerative colitis (UC). It involved identification of causal factors in the structure and/or function of the enteric microbiota in the development of pouchitis.
