Description:This project involved characterization of all the viruses present in normal children and children whose immune systems were suppressed. Viruses found during periods of febrile illness were compared with the viruses present when the children were well. High throughput sequencing was carried out on samples of blood, respiratory, and gastrointestinal secretions.
