Description:This project evaluated the hypothesis that the Crohn's disease (CD) risk alleles such as the NOD2 and ATG16L1, contribute to compositional changes in intestinal microbiota by reducing the proportion of protective commensal organisms and increasing the numbers of proinflammatory organisms that incite intestinal inflammation.
