Description:U54-HRA-037 Visium-no-probes human dorsolateral prefrontal cortex. Tissue sections were cut from 10mmx10mmx10mm tissue blocks and cryo-sectioned at 10-micron (¬µm) thickness. Exploring the intricate spatial dynamics within the Central Nervous System (CNS) is pivotal for understanding its organization, function and regulatory processes. Utilizing the 10X Genomics Visium Spatial Gene Expression solution, which merges RNAseq, H+E imaging and unbiased whole transcriptome profiling, we investigate gene expression patterns and identify the spatial context of potential senescent cells in postmortem human dorsolateral prefrontal cortex tissue. By identifying senescent populations in these tissues, we aim to understand their effects on the molecular environment in the CNS throughout the adult human life-span.
